"The neighborhood: The 9th arrondissement is a neighborhood both commercial and residential, full of 19th-century Hausmannian buildings and many boutiques and market areas. Our building is situated between the Opera Garnier and Montmartre, both about 15 minutes by foot. Rue Rodier itself (not to mention the adjoining streets) is full of restaurants offering cuisine from many different countries and regions : French, Thai, African, Columbian, Brasilan, Indian, etc. There are two bustling market streets nearby : rue des Martyrs to the west and rue Cadet to the south. Within easy walking distance, all manner of shopping and entertainment is possible – from the cinemas and cafes of the Grands Boulevards to the Folies Bergeres and the Musée Grevin, to the Grands Magasins by the Opera.
