"This apartment at the 14th floor of a modern building is close to the places the most visited by tourists (250m from the metro Republique; 5 metro stations from Opera Garnier and department stores; 4 from Chatelet; 3 from the Hotel de Ville; 4 from Bastille, the Place des Vosges and the Marais), all that with a quiet environment, along the St Martin canal. The Quai de Jemmapes and the Quai de Valmy are lined with many small and nice restaurants which are appreciated by young and not-so-young people. It is very enjoyable to walk along the quays (which are closed to vehicules on the week-ends). The apartment is South oriented and very illuminated because of picture windows. From the 14th floor you can easily see the Eiffel Tour, the Invalides, Beaubourg and many other places.  

Groceries stores walking distance, bakeries, chemists. Wine degustation stores. Two theatres. New and old St Louis Hospital (built in 1610), and 250 meters from the great metro station Republique.
