非常によい
I was extremely happy with my stay at 15 Rue de la Huchette.
The apartment is well furnished with everything you require to feel at home. The Kitchen has all basic utensils, crockery, cutlery and cooking equipment you require as well as a oven, large fridge/freezer plus kettle and toaster. The lounge is large by Parisian standards with many original fittings and is bathed in natural light throughout the day. It is a very warm and inviting place.
The bathroom while a bit small, functions well and has everything you need. The bedroom is well sized with an enormous built-in closet with more than ample storage space. The bedroom also receives much light during the day from the internal courtyard it faces on to, but remains private.
While the street itself is quite busy and a bit noisy, the windows are well insulated and do a good job of reducing noise such that it is barely noticeable. The apartment is very well insulated and only a few hours running the heaters in the evening will keep the apartment warm for the next day. In the summer, opening the living room and bedroom windows allows for a cool breeze through the apartment.
As for location, the apartment is excellently placed for anybody doing studies at any of the several universities in the 5th arrondissement. I walked to university every day with no hassle. It also sits directly on top of the number 4. Metro and RER B lines – two of the busiest in the city, from which you can connect to virtually every single part of Paris. This made exploring the city very easy and accessible, as well as making for very easy transport to and from both Charles de Gaulle and Orly airports. The area around the apartment is lively. Walking a few blocks deeper into the 5th gives you access to many local cafes, restaurants and bakeries and the famous Marais is only a short walk across the river from the apartment. Overall it is a very well located apartment, especially for students.
Jacques was an excellent landlord who was easy to communicate with and always cheerful and quick with his responses.
I highly recommend this apartment for anybody staying in Paris long-term.
